Christian Sánchez (Salvadoran footballer)


Cristian Alejandro Sánchez Vizcarra is a Salvadoran professional footballer, who plays as a midfielder.

Club Career

Municipal de Juayúa

Sánchez started his career at Segunda División club A.D. Municipal de Juayúa, before moving to hometown club Sonsonate in 2001.

Alianza

Sánchez signed with Alianza for the Apertura 2003, reaching the semi-finals of that tournament, but they were eliminated by FAS 0–3 on aggregate.
In the next tournament, Alianza won the final against FAS on penalties.

Luis Ángel Firpo

He signed with Luis Ángel Firpo for the Clausura 2006. Luis Ángel Firpo finished tenth in the league table with 20 points in that tournament.
On 1 July 2007, Luis Ángel Firpo lost the Clausura 2007 final against Isidro Metapán. Sanchéz was substitute in that final.
However, in the next tournament, Luis Ángel Firpo won the final against FAS on penalties. On 1 June 2008, Luis Ángel Firpo won a new final against FAS. Sánchez was a substitute in the last final.
Sánchez played with the team of Usulután the 2008–09 CONCACAF Champions League Group Stage.
Sánchez scored a free kick goal in a 1–0 victory against UES at the 13th round of the Apertura 2010 at the Estadio Cuscatlán, On October 2010.

Return to Alianza

Sánchez rejoined Alianza for the Clausura 2012 and signed for two seasons. His debut was a 1–2 defeat against UES at the Estadio Universitario.

Isidro Metapán

Sánchez could not play in the Clausura 2014, due to Isidro Metapán decided to not register him in the tournament.
After left Alianza, Sánches signed with Isidro Metapán. With Isidro Metapán, he won the Apertura 2014 final against Águila on the penalties.
Also, he lost the Clausura 2015 against Santa Tecla.

Return to Sonsonate

Sánchez rejoined Sonsonate for the Clausura 2018.
