Chris Hufford

Chris Hufford is an English audio engineer, record producer, and band manager, known most prominently for managing Radiohead.

Early career

His career began as an audio engineer and record producer. He co-founded Courtyard Studios with business partner Bryce Edge where many groups associated with the shoegaze movement, including the likes of Chapterhouse and Slowdive, recorded albums.

Radiohead

While Radiohead was still under their original name On A Friday, Hufford was present for their performance at the Jericho Tavern in Oxford on 8 August 1991, becoming the group's manager following the concert. The exact circumstances that led to Hufford's attendance and his relationship with the group prior to the performance are uncertain.
