Chestnut-headed crake


The chestnut-headed crake is a species of bird in the family Rallidae. It is the only species placed in the genus Anurolimnas. It is found throughout the Peruvian Amazon Basin and neighboring areas. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and heavily degraded former forest.

Description

It is chestnut-coloured with a paler throat and a dark brown back.
