Chester Township is a township in Polk County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 79 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Grand Forks-ND-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 79 people, 28 households, and 22 families residing in the township. The population density was 2.2 people per square mile. There were 37 housing units at an average density of 1.0/sq mi. The racial makeup of the township was 100.00% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.53% of the population.
