Charlotte Salt


Charlotte Salt is an English actress best known for her many characters in British and US television series like Casualty, Bedlam and The Musketeers, also in many movies, including Beneath Still Waters in 2005, Beowulf in 2007, and Blood and Glory in 2016.

Early life and acting career

Charlotte Salt was a student at Newcastle-under-Lyme College in Staffordshire, England. At 16 years of age, Salt had already appeared in the 2001 TV series In a Land of Plenty the 2001 television movie The Whistle-Blower, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries TV series in 2002 as Margaret Spencer, also 2002 in the BBC family drama TV series Born and Bred as the gilder family’s oldest daughter Helen.
Salt was a regular in the US TV series Wildfire as Gillian Parsons for 13 episodes from 2006–7. She appeared as Lady Ursula Misseldon in the Tudors in 2009, as Lady Arabella Marchand du Belmont in the TV movie A Princess for Christmas.
Salt has played Sam Nicholls for 113 episodes of Casualty between 2011 and 2018, including a four-year break, before her character's death in the opening episode of the thirty-third series. She has also been a regular in other TV series, Bedlam in 2012, also the BBC’s The Musketeers as Marguerite in 2015.
Charlotte will next appear in the Netflix film Everybody's Talking About Jamie in 2021.

Other work

In 2013, Salt co-created, with chef Raymond Blanc, a children’s animated cooking app, called Henri Le Worm, about a cast of insects, voiced over by the actor Simon Pegg. The app is designed to inspire children to discover nature in Henri’s magical “Forest of Plenty”.
