Chaland de transport de matériel
The Chaland de transport de matériel is a French landing craft class, also operated by the navies of Brazil, Chile and Senegal. 8 CTMs can be loaded onto Foudre-class ships and 4 on the Mistral-class.
The remaining 9 CTMs will be gradually replaced from 2020 by 14 new Engins de débarquement amphibie standard - EDA-S - built by SOCARENAM over a period of ten years. With a slightly larger size, they will be deployed from Mistral and overseas bases..
