Centerpoint High School


Centerpoint High School is an accredited comprehensive public high school serving students in grades six through twelve in the remote, rural community of Amity, Arkansas, United States.
In 1995, the Glenwood School District and the former Glenwood High School in Pike County consolidated with that of nearby Amity in Clark County to form the Centerpoint School District, with a new campus located at old Rosboro. The new high school at this location opened in 1997. It is the only high school administered by the Centerpoint School District.

Academics

The school is accredited by the Arkansas Department of Education. The assumed course of study follows the Smart Core curriculum developed the Arkansas Department of Education, which requires students to complete at least 24 credit units before graduation. Students engage in regular and career focus courses and exams and may select Advanced Placement coursework and exams that may lead to college credit. The Centerpoint High School mascot and athletic emblem is the Knight with school colors of purple and gold. The Centerpoint Knights participate in various interscholastic activities in the 3A Classification within the 3A Region 5 Conference and 3A Region 7 Conference as administered by the Arkansas Activities Association. The Knights school athletic activities include football, golf, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, cheer, and track and field.
