Caucasian moose

The Caucasian moose, also known as the Caucasian elk was a subspecies of moose found in the Caucasus Mountains of Eastern Europe and Asia Minor. It is widely believed to be extinct.
The subspecies was quite common until the mid-19th century, when populations began to decrease due to over-hunting.
Among its predators were the Asiatic lion, Syrian brown bears, Steppe wolves, Persian leopards and the Caspian tiger.
