The Caroline County Sheriff's Office is the primary law enforcement agency servicing 30,772 people within of jurisdiction within Caroline County, Virginia.

Organization

The agency is currently headed by Sheriff Anthony A. "Tony" Lippa, Jr. Lippa was elected in 2003, and has been sheriff since January 1, 2004. The CCSO has been accredited by the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission since 2006.

This agency experienced tremendous growth in the late 2000s as Caroline is some of the last undeveloped land between Richmond and Washington, D.C..
