Carlsberg Meridian Telescope

The Carlsberg Meridian Telescope is located at Roque de los Muchachos Observatory in the Canary Islands. It is a meridian circle that is dedicated to carrying out high-precision optical astrometry. It is now decommissioned and its last night of observing was on 2013/09/01.
The CMT was used to take photometric measurements and the data covering 20 years was studied to understand atmosphere extinction. Up to 2003, 11 catalogs were published and it had been given various upgrades since its installation in 1984.
The telescope is owned by the Danish Copenhagen University Observatory, but was operated with an international agreement with two other institutions.
