Carl Gesterding - German regional historian, politician and jurist. He was born on February 4, 1774 in Greifswald and died on October 31, 1843 in Greifswald. He graduated from the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Gymnasium. He was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle 4th Class.
