Camp Kern


Camp Kern is a Boy Scout summer camp owned and operated by the Southern Sierra Council. Camp Kern is located along the south eastern shore of Huntington Lake in the Sierra National Forest in Fresno County, California.

BSA Camp Requirements

The BSA requires the following for Scouts and Adults to attend

Scouts

  1. Be younger than 18 years of age
  2. Registered member of Scouts BSA troop or Venture Crew
  3. Provide BSA Medical Form Parts A, B, and C, part C must be signed by a medical professional

    Adults

  4. Be over 18 years of age
  5. Be a registered member of Scouts BSA troop or Venture Crew
  6. Provide BSA Medical Form Parts A, B, and C, part C must be signed by a medical professional
  7. Be trained in Youth Protection Training

    Program Areas

Camp Kern like many Scouts BSA summer camps divide activities into different program areas, each with its own staff members and a director trained at National Camp School a Boy Scouts of America ran program.
In its 2019 season Camp Kern is offering the following merit badges in its program areas listed above. All merit badges are taught by well trained staff following all policies in the Boy Scouts of Americas Guide to Advancement
