Cambridge Crown Court


Cambridge Crown Court is a venue of the Crown Court in Cambridge, England. Resident Judge since summer 2009 is His Honour Judge Gareth Hawkesworth. His Honour Judge Jonathan Haworth is diversity and community relations judge for the court, and was formerly resident judge.

Description

The building is on East Road, Cambridge and opened in June 2004. It was designed by Austin-Smith:Lord and contains three courtrooms. It was financed by PFI, Modern Courts Limited building the premises and managing them for 25 years. It is a Tier 1 court centre, used for trial of serious offences including murder. The court was previously held in the Cambridge Guildhall.
