Cadillac High School


Cadillac High School is a high school in Cadillac, Michigan, United States. It is one of eight schools in the Cadillac Area Public Schools school district.

History

Clam Lake Public School opened in early 1873, with 35 enrollees, and a high school unit was added in 1877.
The brick Cadillac High School building was erected on the site in 1891.
In October 1975, the school gained some notoriety when rock band Kiss performed at its homecoming dance.

Academics

In 2015, U.S. News ranked Cadillac High School #949 it in its list of "America's Best High Schools".

Athletics

Cadillac's athletic teams are the Vikings. Sports include football, volleyball, cross country, soccer, tennis, basketball, track, softball, skiing, cheerleading and ice hockey.
