C2A

C2A is a popular freeware planetarium program for Microsoft Windows and MS-DOS to simulate the night sky. It is provided with numerous astronomical catalogues, conversion utilities and tools, as well as several miscellaneous databases.
C2A was originally created by Frenchman Philippe Deverchère, who continues to develop and maintain the application.
Aside from being an advanced planetarium application, C2A's functionality includes the ability to control computerised GoTo telescope mounts, and it is ASCOM compliant. C2A supports the USNO's UCAC and NOMAD catalogues, ESA's Gaia data, as well as additional databases of deep sky objects and many other types.
