Bushra Rahman


Bushra Rahman is a Pakistani politician who served as member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2002 to 2013. She remained a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from 1985 to 1990.

Early life and education

She has earned the degree of Bachelor of Education and Master of Arts.
She is a writer by profession and is recipient of the Sitara-i-Imtiaz for her achievements in the literature field.

Political career

She was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on a reserved seat for women in the 1985 Pakistani general election.
She was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on a reserved seat for women in the 1988 Pakistani general election.
She was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League on a seat reserved for women from Punjab in the 2002 Pakistani general election.
She was re-elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League on a seat reserved for women from Punjab in the 2008 Pakistani general election.
