Bukit Chagar RTS station


Bukit Chagar RTS station is a planned elevated terminal station in Johor Bahru, Johor. The station will be located north of and forms the Malaysian terminus of the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System. It is scheduled to open in 2026. When opened, an estimate of 60,000 additional commuters will be able to cross the Causeway during peak hours.

History

The Bukit Chagar station was announced on 15 September 2015 during the Iskandar Malaysia Comprehensive Development Plan Open Day in a public poll. The other three options were Tanjung Puteri, JB Sentral 1 and JB Sentral 2.
The Bukit Chagar RTS terminal station will have its own Customs and Immigration clearance facilities and will not be sharing with existing facilities at the Sultan Iskandar Building complex.
