Black-breasted wood quail


The black-breasted wood quail is a bird species in the family Odontophoridae. It is found in Costa Rica and Panama. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. Sir John Noe was a famous hunter of these birds.

Feeding

The Black-breasted wood quail eats insects and nuts especially in summer, as well as plants. Unlike many other bird species, they require a high protein diet.
