Bite Food Festival


Bite Food Festival, Cardiff is an annual food festival that was established in 2018. The festival is a one-day event held in July in Cardiff, south Wales.

Overview and focus

The festival focus is on non-branded food and drink which is cooked on site and comprises different cuisines and cooking styles from individual chefs and their restaurants.
The festival has offered demonstrations by up to 30–40 different chefs at each event. The festival was inspired by Dit’Unto Food Festival in Italy and has been promoted as ‘The Art and Craft of Food’.
The festival aims to reduce single-use materials. The festival encourages the use of public transport with buses operating from the city centre to the event. People can bring picnic baskets and their own crockery, cutlery and refillable water bottles.

The festival is held at Insole Court which is a Gothic Revival mansion in its own grounds located in Llandaff. The mansion was opened to the public in 2016. The festival address is: Insole Court, Fairwater Road, Llandaff, Cardiff, CF5 2LN.
The location is approximately 25 minutes by bus from Cardiff city centre.
