Birches Head
Birches Head is an area within Stoke-on-Trent. It lies on the edge of the town of Hanley.
Formerly Birches Head Farm the area had new housing built on it to meet modern demands. These houses are centred on wide, open spaces.
An old railway line runs across the estate. The local secondary school is Birches Head Academy. The Caldon Canal runs through the suburb. The area is easily accessible due to its position around the City Centre, with main roads such as the A5009, A5008 and the A5272.The Potter's House Church is located at the site of the former high school. It was renamed in July 2006 to its current name. It has a secondary location at Longton Central Hall.
