Bhatapara is a city and a Nagar Palika in the Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara district of the state of Chhattisgarh, India.

History

The municipality is divided into multiple wards, with elections held every five years. The city has a municipal administrative body, Bhatapara Municipal Council, which is responsible for supplying water and sewage services to households, along with constructing new highways, collecting property taxes, and other fundamental services. Bhatapara is known for its mills, the Simaria Ghat Mela, and the religious festivals held during the week-long Ram Naam Saptah.
