Belgrano Department, Santa Fe


The Belgrano Department is an administrative subdivision of the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It is located in the southwest of the province. It limits with the departments of San Martín, San Jerónimo, Iriondo, and Caseros ; to the west it limits with the province of Córdoba.
The department has about 41,000 inhabitants. Its head town is Las Rosas. Other cities and towns are Armstrong, Bouquet, Las Parejas, Montes de Oca, and Tortugas.
The name of this department is an homage to General Manuel Belgrano, the creator of the Argentine flag.
