Battle of Magdalena River


The Battle of Magdalena River was a battle of the Thousand Days' War. It took place on the Magdalena River 24 October 1899, near the town of Gamarra, Cesar, Colombia. The naval encounter destroyed the Liberal Party fleet and ended in a victory for the Conservatives.
