Bartolomé Lobo Guerrero


Bartolomé Lobo Guerrero was a Roman Catholic prelate who served as Archbishop of Lima and the second Archbishop of Santafé en Nueva Granada.

Biography

Bartolomé Lobo Guerrero was born in Ronda, Spain. On August 12, 1596, Pope Clement VIII, appointed him Archbishop of Archbishop of Santafé en Nueva Granada. On August 24, 1596, he was consecrated bishop by Diego de Romano y Govea, Bishop of Tlaxcala. On November 19, 1607, Pope Paul V, appointed him the fourth Archbishop of Lima where he served until his death on January 12, 1622.
