Ballygunge is an assembly constituency in Kolkata district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

As per orders of the Delimitation Commission, No. 161 Ballygunge is composed of the following: Ward Nos. 60, 61, 64, 65, 68, 69 and 85 of Kolkata municipal corporation.
Ballygunge is part of No. 23 Kolkata Dakshin.

In the 2006 state assembly elections Ahmed Javed Khan of Trinamool Congress won the Balluginge assembly seat defeating his nearest rival Rabin Deb of Communist Party of India . Rabin Deb of CPI defeated Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar of Trinamool Congress in 2001, Dibyendu Biswas of Indian National Congress in 1996, and Dibyendu Biswas of Congress in 1992. The Bye Poll In 1992 Caused by the Death of Sitting MLA Sachin Sen.Sachin Sen of CPI defeated Sushobhan Basu of Congress in 1991 and 1987, Rathin Talukdar of Congress in 1982, and Subrata Mukherjee of Congress in 1977.
