Baird's junco


Baird's junco is a species of junco, small American sparrows. It is endemic to forests in the Sierra de la Laguna mountain range of the southern Baja California Peninsula in Mexico. It previously was considered a subspecies of the yellow-eyed junco.
Baird's junco is one of several species of birds named for Spencer Fullerton Baird, an American ornithologist and naturalist.
