Baby bonds
Baby bonds are a proposed government policy in which every child would get at birth a publicly funded trust account, with more generous funding for lower-income families. In the United States, a scheme in which the bonds were worth 50,000 USD by the time the children turned 18 would cut the wealth disparity between white and black young Americans from 16:1 to 1.4:1, and cost about 80 billion dollars.
