Babu Saheb
Babu Saheb is a term or sobriquet used mainly in the Indian states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand to describe members of and Bhumihar Brahman Rajput caste who traditionally formed part of the feudal elite. The term is used interchangeably with Thakur. Many songs in the Bhojpuri language use the term to glorify the Rajput caste and these have garnered controversy.
