Ayşe Şevval Ay


Ayşe Şevval Ay is a Turkish women's football defender currently playing in the Turkish Women's First League for Beşiktaş J.K. in Istanbul with jersey number 4. She was a member of the Turkey U-15, Turkey U-17 and Turkey U-19.

Career

Club

Ayşe Şevval Ay obtained her license from Beşiktaş J.K. on 31 May 2013. She debuted for her team in the Turkish Women's Third League match on 1 November 2014, and appeared in 15 matches. At the end of the league season, she enjoyed her team's champion title and promotion to the Women's Second League. Her team finished the 2015–16 Second League season as champion, and was promoted to the Women's First League. For the second half of the 2017–18 season, she was loaned out to Kireçburnu Spor. In the 2018–19 season, Ay returned to her club Beşiktaş J.K., and enjoyed her team's first champion title in the Women's First League. She took part at the 2019–20 UEFA Women's Champions League - Group 9 matches.

International

Ay was admitted to the Turkey women's national under-15 team, and debuted in the friendly match against Azerbaijan on 2 October 2013. She capped in two matches for the Turkey U-15 team.
She became then a member of the Turkey U-17 team in the friendly match against Greece on 2 March 2014. In 2014 and 2015, she took part at the UEFA Development Tournament. She played in six matches for the Turkey girls' U-17 team.
On 3 August 2017, she debuted for the Turkey U-19 team in the friendly match against Slovakia U*19 team. She took part at the 2018 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship qualification - Group 10 and
2018 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship qualification - Elite round Group 4 matches. She capped 14 times in total, and scored one goal against Austria.
