Assy-Turgen Observatory

General information

The observatory, referred to as the Assy-Turgen Observatory, the Assy Observatory, and the Assy-Turgen Astrophysical Observatory, is located at an altitude of above sea level, east of Almaty. Completed in 1991, it features a 1.5 m telescope on top of a huge tower roughly in height.
