As We Forgive


As We Forgive is the 2008 student documentary film by Laura Waters Hinson.

Synopsis

The film tells the story of two Rwandan women who come face-to-face with the neighbors who slaughtered their families during the 1994 genocide, and their personal journeys toward forgiveness. Featuring in-depth interviews with both survivors and murderers, As We Forgive provides an intimate, first-hand view of the encounters between genocide perpetrators and their victims’ families.

Living Bricks campaign

Filmmaker Laura Waters Hinson recently created a viewer action campaign called the Living Bricks Campaign. The campaign raises funding for repentant ex-genocide prisoners to build housing for survivors in their communities to bring about practical reconciliation. Living Bricks is a partnership with Prison Fellowship International.
