Aradhana (1976 film)
Aradhana is a 1976 Telugu Romance film, produced by A. Pundarikakshaiah under the Sri Bhaskara Chitra banner and directed by B. V. Prasad. It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Vanisri in the lead roles and music composed by Saluri Hanumantha Rao. The film was recorded as a Super Hit at the box office. The film was a remake of the Hindi film Geet.
Plot
The film begins, in a village which is located in a beautiful hilly area full of greenery and surrounded by water bodies. There, young guy Gopi leads a happy life with his sister Janaki by rearing goats. Once Radha, a famous stage artist and singer arrives who gets inspired to Gopi's natural talent of singing and playing flute and both of them fall in love. Before leaving Radha asks Gopi to accompany her so that flair can be flourish and also earn money. But Gopi says that music is a gift of God, he doesn't want to sell it, so, Radha decides to settle in the village along with him. After that, Radha returns, explains Sudhakar the proprietor of her company, regarding her love affair and retirement which leaves him devastated as his intention is to marry her. Meanwhile, Gopi fixes an alliance to Janaki, which is canceled due to a dowry problem. Then Gopi determines to earn money, hence he reaches the city where with the help of Radha, becomes a huge star, earns a lot and performs Janaki's marriage. Now Gopi and Radha want to marry which Radha's father Dasaradharamayya also agrees to it. But Sudhakar ploy to kill Gopi makes him dumb in an accident, nevertheless, Radha wants to marry him. Furious Sudhakar further plans, kills Dasaradharamayya and keeps the blame on Gopi. Here Radha requests Sudhakar not to make Gopi accused when he puts a condition to marry him and she agrees. So, she sends Gopi away and he starts working as a construction worker where listening to his flute, the contractor invites him to play on the radio. Knowing it, Sudhakar sends his men to remove Gopi from the picture. But Gopi escapes, succeeds in getting his voice back and hands Sudhakar to the police. Finally, Gopi and Radha reunite and move towards the village.Cast
