Anton Kinzel


Anton Kinzel is Austrian chess FIDE Masters , Austrian Chess Championship medalist, Clare Benedict Chess Cup winner.

Biography

In the 1950s and 1960s Anton Kinzel was one of the leading Austrian chess players. In 1951, he shared 3rd place with Ernst Grünfeld behind Moshe Czerniak and Erik Lundin in Carl Schlechter Memorial Tournament. In 1958, Anton Kinzel shared 1st place with Alexander Prameshuber in Austrian Chess Championship but lost the additional match.

Also Anton Kinzel twelve times participated in Clare Benedict Chess Cup and in team competition won gold and four bronze medals, and in individual competition won two gold medals.
