Ansonia station


The Ansonia station is a commuter rail stop on the Waterbury Branch of the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line, located in Ansonia, Connecticut, United States. Service operates with limited frequencies. Travel time to is about 26 minutes.
The station is to Grand Central Terminal, with travel time averaging two hours depending on transfer time at Bridgeport. Travel time to New Haven is about one hour, also depending on transfer time.
The station is owned and operated by the Connecticut Department of Transportation, but Metro-North is responsible for maintaining platform lighting, trash, and snow removal. There is a parking lot with 50 parking spaces managed by the city of Ansonia.
In 2018, ConnDOT awarded a grant of $389,000 to the city of Ansonia for safety and beautification improvements to the station, such as improved lighting, sidewalks and handicapped accessible access.

Station layout

This station has one low-level side platform to the east of the track, long enough for one door of one car to receive and discharge passengers.
