Ann Leda Shapiro
Ann Leda Shapiro is an American artist.
Shapiro's work was shown in a 1973 solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art. The Whitney closed the exhibition after two weeks, following a public controversy over the depiction of hermaphrodites in two of Shapiro's paintings. Her work is included in the collections of the Seattle Art Museum and the University of Colorado Boulder Art Museum.
