Amritpur, Uttar Pradesh


Amritpur is a prominent town and one of three tehsils in the Farrukhabad district of the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India. The other two tehsils are Farrukhabad and Kaimganj. Amritpur tehsil was created from Rajepur Block after the district was split in 1997.

Geography

Amritpur is located at. It has an average elevation of 136 metres. The town has an alluvial fertile soil. Farmers here perform farming activities all 12 months.

Potato is largely produced in this area.
Followed by sugarcane and almost all types of vegetables.
