Amrit Lugun


Amrit Lugun, appointed as the Ambassador of India to Greece. He also served as a senior Indian Foreign Service officer.

Education & early life

Lugun's mother-in-law Sushila Kerketta was a Congress MLA and the party candidate from Khunti parliamentary constituency in Jharkhand.

Service

Before joining Sana’a was Director in the SAARC Secretariat, Kathmandu, Nepal.
Served as number two officer in the Indian Embassy, Manila.
Prior to that served as Director handling territories of Eurasia and Latin America in the Ministry of External Affairs from September 2004 till December 2008.
In 2006, successfully attended the 46th National Defence College course, Delhi.
