Aman Mani Tripathi


Aman Mani Tripathi is an Indian politician and a member of 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh from Maharajganj. He represents the Nautanwa in Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh as an Independent.

Early life and education

Tripathi was born 12 January 1982 in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh to Amarmani Tripathi and Madhu Mani Tripathi. He belong from General Class community. He completed his schooling from Springer Public School, Gorakhpur. In 2012, he got Graduation degree from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University.

Political career

Tripathi inherited politics, his father Amarmani Tripathi was four time MLA from Lakshmipur and also cabinet minister in Government of Uttar Pradesh. He started jorney of politics in 16th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh elections, he contested from Nautanwa Assembly as a member of Samajwadi Party but lost by Indian National Congress candidate Kunwar Kaushal Kishore Singh by a margin of 7,837 votes.
In 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh elections, Tripathi was denied a ticket by the Samajwadi Party after his name cropped up in his wife's murder case. After this he contested as Independent politician and elected MLA by defeating Samajwadi Party candidate Kunwar Kaushal Kishore Singh by a margin of 32,256 votes.
Tripathi openly support Yogi Adityanath for Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Controversy

Tripathi was arrested and sent to jail on 25 November 2016 for his wife's murder case, Tripathi was denied a ticket by the Samajwadi Party after his name cropped up in his wife's murder case.
He was granted bail in March 2017 after winnig Assembly election as an independent candidate. He was chargesheeted on 18 February.
