Altmühltal
Altmühltal is a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft in the district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen and Eichstätt in Bavaria in Germany. It consists of the following municipalities:
The final section to be built of the Rhine–Main–Danube Canal runs between Nuremberg and Kelheim. This issue became politically controversial in the 1970s and 1980s, mainly because of the long section through the Altmühl valley.
