Adin Hill


Adin Hill is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League. Hill was selected by the Coyotes, 76th overall, in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Playing career

Hill born in Comox, British Columbia, first played bantam junior hockey with the Calgary Bisons before later developing at the midget level with the Calgary Buffaloes in the Alberta Midget Hockey League. He spent the duration of the 2013–14 season with the Calgary Canucks in the Alberta Junior Hockey League before ending the season playing four games of major junior hockey with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League.
After his rookie season with the Winterhawks in 2014–15, in which he assumed starting goaltender status and lead the league in save percentage through 46 games, Hill was drafted to the Arizona Coyotes in the third round, 76th overall, in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Following an early exit at the conclusion of the 2015–16 season with the Winterhawks, Hill was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Coyotes on April 6, 2016. He was assigned to make his professional debut with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
In the 2017–18 season, Hill began with the Tucson Roadrunners before he received his first recall to the Coyotes on October 16, 2017. Hill became the first goaltender selected from the 2015 draft to appear in a NHL games as he made his debut for the Coyotes in making 31 saves in a 3–1 defeat to the Dallas Stars on October 17, 2017. On March 13, 2018 Hill recorded his first NHL win in a 4–3 shootout victory against the Los Angeles Kings.
Hill began the 2018–19 season with the Tucson Roadrunners but was recalled to the NHL on November 24. He was named the NHL Second Star of the week for the week of December 3 after he posted a 3–0–0 record.
On August 3, 2019, the Coyotes re-signed Hill to a one-year, two-way contract extension.
