Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs)

The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards, also known as the ASFAs, are continental fashion awards presented annually in Uganda by Abryanz Collection to recognize excellence and outstanding achievement in the fashion industry in Uganda and Africa.

History

Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards were established in 2013 by fashion stylist and proprietor of Abryanz Collection Brian Ahumuza in Uganda. The inaugural event was held at MTN Arena in Lugogo, Kampala, with subsequent events held at the Serena Hotel in Kampala. The awards started with a focus on Ugandan fashion, and categories for the rest of Africa were added in 2016.
The category of Lifetime / Style Fashion Icon Achievement, which is not voted for, is awarded to an individual for their significant contribution to the fashion industry. It was awarded to Princess Elizabeth of Toro in 2015, and Mai Atafo in 2017.
The awards are broadcast live on NTV Uganda.
