Abram Lerner
Abram Lerner - born 1913 in New York, NY; First director of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, 1974-1984. Lerner was the son of Lower East Side Manhattan immigrants, Hyman Lerner, a garment presser, and Sarah Becker (Lerner), both originally from Russia. He was born on January 1, 1913 and died on January 1, 2007.
