Abraham Walker (soldier)


Abraham Walker was an Argentine politician and military man, who participated in Civil Wars, and in the War of the Triple Alliance.

Biography

He was born in Buenos Aires, the son of Abraham Walker, born in Scotland, and Luisa Serrano, belonging to an Argentine family of Creole origin. He was married to Cecilia Ramírez, daughter of Norberto Ramírez and Justa Sullivan, of Irish descent. He took part in the Paraguayan War, Conquest of the Desert, and in the Revolution of 1880, where he served in the ranks of the
Province of Buenos Aires against the forces of the Argentine Republic.
His family was linked to Bartolomé Saravi, a patriot who participated in the War of Independence.
