4th Infantry Division (Belgium)


The 4th Infantry Division was an infantry division of the Belgian Army that existed during the Battle of Belgium during the Second World War.

History

During the First World War it began its operations with its headquarters at Namur under Lieutenant-General Augustin Édouard Michel du Faing d'Aigremont. It initially comprised the 8th, 10th, 13th, and 15th Mixed Brigades.
It existed prior to the outbreak of the Battle of Belgium. It was mobilized at the beginning of the battle and existed throughout the battle.
