202d RED HORSE Squadron

• January 1985, the Air National Guard activated 202d RED HORSE Squadron at Camp Blanding, Florida.
• Spring 1998 the 202d helped defeat wildfires in Florida.
• In 2004, 202d and the 203d responded and provided assistance after three disastrous hurricanes, Charley, Frances, Ivan.

• To provide highly mobile, rapidly deployable civil engineering response force self-sufficient for worldwide deployment.

  History

Assignments

• In July 2002 the 202 RHS was deployed to Jamaica to assist in the building of a clinic.
• The 202 RHS & 203 RHS was deployed to Camp Darby, Italy to support depot storage.
• The 202 RHS was deployed as a relief force to Hurricane Katrina.
