2020 San Francisco 49ers season

The 2020 season is the San Francisco 49ers' 71st in the National Football League, their 75th overall, and their fourth under the head coach/general manager tandem of Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch. The 49ers will enter the season as the reigning NFC champions, and will look to improve on their 13–3 season from the previous year. They will also attempt to become the first team since the 2014 Seattle Seahawks to win consecutive NFC championships, as well as to become the fourth team in league history to win the Super Bowl the year after losing it, after the 1971 Dallas Cowboys, 1972 Miami Dolphins, and the 2018 New England Patriots.
