2020 New Hampshire Wildcats football team

The 2020 New Hampshire Wildcats football team was scheduled to represent the University of New Hampshire in the 2020 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The team was scheduled to be led by 21st-year head coach Sean McDonnell following his leave of absence due to medical reasons during the 2019 season. The team has played its home football games at Wildcat Stadium since 1936, and have competed in college football as an associate member of the Colonial Athletic Association since 2007.
On July 17, 2020, the CAA announced that it would not play fall sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The conference gave teams the option to play as independents for the 2020 season if they still wished to play in the fall. The same day, the university announced a postponement of their fall sports season, stating that they were "pursuing the feasibility of moving the fall sport programs to a spring season."

Previous season

The Wildcats finished the 2019 season 6–5, 5–3 in CAA play to finish tied for third place.

Schedule

The below schedule was released prior to the university's announcement on July 17 to postpone their fall sports season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Colgate game scheduled for September 26 was cancelled on July 13, resulting from the Patriot League's decision to cancel fall sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
