2020 Liga 2


The 2020 Liga 2 is the fourth season of the Liga 2 under its current name and the 11th season under its current league structure.
It is currently halted, following a decision on 27 March 2020 by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and PSSI to suspend the league due to the coronavirus pandemic. The initial suspension was until the end of March, which was then extended to 29 May. On 28 June, it was announced that Liga 2 would resume starting October 2020.

Overview

Format

Major changes occur in the league format this season. The second round, which consisting of eight teams will be removed this season. The winner of each region will be immediately promoted and qualified for the final. While the second place in each region will be qualified for the third place playoff and the last promotion place.
