2001 World Games


The 2001 World Games, the sixth World Games, were an international multi-sport event held in Akita, Japan.

Titles

140 titles were awarded in the following official sports. There were five invitational sports in this edition.

The 2001 World Games programme featured 27 official sports, and 5 invitational sports. Aikido was also one of the invitational sport in programme of 2001 World Games, but any medal events weren't held. The numbers in parentheses indicate the number of medal events, which were contested in each sports discipline.
