1996 Nevada Wolf Pack football team


The 1996 Nevada Wolf Pack football team represented the University of Nevada, Reno during the 1996 NCAA Division I-A football season. Nevada competed as a member of the Big West Conference. The Wolf Pack were led by first–year head coach Jeff Tisdel and played their home games at Mackay Stadium.

Previous season

The Wolf Pack finished the 1995 season 9–3 and 6–0 in BWC play to finish in first place and lost the Las Vegas Bowl against Toledo by 37 to 40. Head coach Chris Ault retired and was replaced by Jeff Tisdel.
